ANDREW JACKSON

Welcome to my personal website. It's my home central. Roam around and you'll find out about the numerous activities and projects that I'm involved in. Below are a few things that'll help you get to know me.
I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, where I still visit regularly. I consider Seattle my home city. I now live in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm married to Barbara, an emergency room nurse, and I have three adult children, Rachael, Luke, and Sarah Grace.
I earned my Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, and my specialized Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon- Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston. I served over twenty years as an teaching pastor in two mega-churches located in Virginia and Arizona, and as a college and seminary professor. I'm ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
In 2009, I launched out to dedicate myself to writing, public speaking and teaching, Christian foresight or futurist research, and specializing in the Bible lands of the Middle East, especially the land of Turkey.
I have a special passion for the Bible lands. I studied one year at the Jerusalem University College in Israel, and I've traveled through the land of Turkey for twenty years. Today, I lead biblical tours in Turkey. You or your church might want to join me sometime. You can find more information at my website www.BiblicalTurkeyTours.com.
I've had the priviledge of traveling to the original homelands of the primary religions and civilizations of the world, which has assisted me when I taught world religions on the college level. One of my more adventurous journeys took place in April of 1988 when I traveled through the tribal region of South Waziristan, Pakistan providing blankets and supplies to those in the refugee camps along the Afghanistan border. It was during the time that the Soviet Union had invaded Afghanistan.
One of my major writing projects is my new easy-to-read English translation of the Bible called the International English Bible (IEB). I've finished the four Gospels. You can preview them for free. Please provide me any feedback and suggestions on the translation. I've provided you with a feedback form.
On a personal note, I was drafted out of high school by the New York Mets in the third round (56th pick overall) as a short-stop. I'm a big baseball fan. Be warned, I always lean toward the Boston Red Sox.
Please e-mail me and introduce yourself.
