The Apostle Paul in Assos
After Paul’s third ministry visit to Troas (Acts 20:6-12) (#41), he walked for two days—about thirty miles (48 km)—on the paved Roman road to Assos (Acts 20:13). The probable reason he chose to walk, in- stead of taking a ship with his disciples, was to spend time with believers from Troas and Assos.
